A New Prefect |
| On Saturday March 28th a large party of Brethren from West Lancashire made an early start to venture into Yorkshire, the reason for the visit was to witness the Installation of a new District Grand Prefect.. |
Castle Grove Masonic Hall |
| Arriving at Castle Grove Masonic Hall (Leeds) in good numbers, they were welcomed by Clive Copley the District Grand Prefect Designate, following the welcome, they were able to meet friends and share a cup of Yorkshire tea. |

| For those who haven’t visited this venue, Castle Grove is a striking; Grade II listed 19th Century Manor House hidden away in Headingly, just a few miles north of Leeds city centre. |

Splendid Architecture |
| Build as a private residence in 1834 for the linen merchant Samuel Holmes, Castle Grove retains an array of original architectural pieces, including a sweeping staircase, intricate oak panelling, ornate fireplaces and stained glass, and a magnificent domed ceiling. |

| Following the opening of the District Council, the assembled Brethren stood to Order to receive the Most Worshipful Grand master Thomas F. Jackson. The Grand Master elucidated the reason for his attendance; that to Install Clive Copley as District Grand Prefect for Yorkshire in succession to R.W.Bro. Brian Butterfield |

| At the end of the meeting the party were able to enjoy liquid refreshment in the company of friends from both the District of Yorkshire and other Districts visiting the meeting. |
| Eventually crossing the border back into the Red Rose County, satisfied in having enjoyed a great day out with our friends across the Pennines. |
